Hey, I'm Lou.
Based in Eastern NC — always willing to travel.
I've loved photography since the first time I picked up a camera. I'm drawn to the things that don't sit still — wildlife, motocross, cars, and the split-second moments people work hard to create.
Wildside Shutter Co. started at a strongman competition I attended to photograph a friend. Other competitors began asking where they could find my work afterward. My wife had been telling me to build a portfolio, but I always said, “Nobody wants to see my work.” Judging by her grin that day, she enjoyed being right.
I ended up photographing the entire event and delivering a gallery to the gym. Seeing how much those images meant to the competitors changed everything. I built this site to give people a place to find those moments, download them, and feel proud of what they accomplished.

Working together
Events, team shoots, and portrait sessions. Turnaround is usually a week for a full event gallery, faster for smaller sessions. Tell me the date and what you need and I'll tell you straight away whether I'm free.
